Hey Rob, sorry I have only just seen your comment... is the Hondurian install all wrapped up_ If not I could possibly lend a hand! Best to communicate with me by emailÑ bandanaben@hotmail.com. Any other interesting projects out this way? The answer basically is that in central america, even engineers havent really heard of Legionella´s from what I have seen. So prevention of the disease usually goes out of the window! The only method you can reccommend, in absence of auxillary heating, is regular tank disinfection. Have a look at the Solar Serpentine Design Manual...if it´s not one this website try www.aidg.net- technical documents nice one

Hi Ben- how can you ensure that legionella's disease doesn't form in a simplified solar hot water tank if you don't have electrical or gas fired top up heat to ensure tank temperature is regularly above 60degC? I'm currently designing a system for a campus in Honduras and am very interested in your Guatemalan example here. Thanks Rob
