Rainwater Harvesting

Rainwater harvesting is generally used as an alternative way to store and use water in areas where other water sources are scarce or are insufficient. Harvesting rainwater can also help us save or preserve ground water sources for future. Rainwater harvesting was once thought to be useful only for rural areas but as urban areas are being populated to a level where traditional sources of water cannot fulfil the basic needs so people are now trying to use and promote rainwater harvesting as a source especially in rainy seasons. Stored rainwater can be used for household and or agricultural purposes based on the necessity.
