This poster, presented at the 2018 Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, gives details about the potential for a flood early warning system that spans the Nepal-India border. The Mahakali River is one of the major tributaries of the Ganga river, and flows across the Nepal-India border. Floods on these rivers affect millions of people, and a transboundary warning system has the potential to save lives, assets and livelihoods.
