Climate change is leading to increasingly frequent and more severe hazards and disasters. Poor people are the most vulnerable and hardest hit.
The effects of climate change include unpredictable rainfall patterns, increased frequency and intensity of storms, and sea levels rising. Communities are forced to change their way of living and adapt to new realities with ingenious ways of growing different crops, making better use of scarce water resources, using different production methods, or preparing for more frequent weather-related disasters. These technologies and adaptation practices have to be rooted in local contexts as factors vary from community to community. This collection includes relevant technical information and climate adaptation solutions that can be used by communities all around the world.
