Disaster Risk Reduction

Disaster risk reduction (DRR) looks at low-cost but effective actions that can be taken to reduce the negative impact of disasters such as floods and earthquakes. It is a systematic approach to reducing vulnerability and should be regarded as part of long-term sustainable development work.
