Step 6 - Introduction

 

‘Keeping track of progress and telling others about the success of the energy market’

The final Step 6 of the energy markets roadmap helps facilitators keep track of the progress of the facilitated activities of the selected energy market system, as well as ensure this information is communicated to others. This allows the facilitated steps to be adjusted and updated as required on an on-going basis, to ensure they have the best change of leading to increased access to the energy products or services.

It is also important to create the conditions to persuade the involved energy market actors to widely communicate with each other, to spread positive changes through the energy market system. The lessons and evidence of positive change from the roadmap process should be communicated widely, through a range of effective and strategic channels. This should include other market facilitators, donors as well as actors in other energy market systems, to persuade them of the value of the roadmap process and to increase its potential impact.
